Welcome

Welcome to Christene’s healthy food.  This website is a labour of love and is a place where I am going to share information on what is known as a whole food diet.  In fact diet is probably not the best word to use , as to many people the word “diet” means something of the short term to achieve weight-loss goals.  The term diet has been banded around in the weight-loss industry for years, promoting the next best fad diet that all the celebrities are on and seeing ammmazing results!

No this is not what I mean when I use the word “diet”.  In fact a better suited word would be lifestyle. – whole food lifestyle.  It is a way to change your current eating habits into something healthier for the long term.  So this website will be using the word diet in a context of what you eat and drink each day – not something you do for a short period of time to achieve a goal and then revert back to your old eating habits undoing all your good work.

Now let us get back to talking about what a whole food diet means.  Whole foods diet, means eating foods that are as close to their natural form as possible, where they have little or no refining or processing and they contain no artificial additives or preservatives.

Under the whole food banner there are many different diet and/or lifestyle choices that  we will touch on here.  For me personally I am still a work in progress I follow the whole  food lifestyle, I read, learn and then apply different concepts to my own lifestyle.  For  example I am currently learning more about sprouting and the benefits of  fermented  foods.  So my journey is for ever evolving.  I encourage you to   do the same.  You are the  one in control of you, so if being on a fully raw diet doesn’t resonate  with you, but you  want to incorporate concepts from this diet into your own for your  health and vitality  then do so.

It is important to remember the information on this website is for educational purposes only.  I encourage you to do your own research as I have done.  The information on this website is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any medical condition.  For medical advice please consult your health practitioner.

Having got all the preliminaries out of the way let get the journey started!

  3. Try reducing after dinner snacks and you will see a marked
improvement with your weight. Being overweight is life-threatening situation through which you could be at
greater risk of developing serious health problems such as non insulin dependent diabetes, hypertension, stroke and
cardio-arterial disease. Whatever you decide on, ensure it’s
something you’d like to stick with for the extended time.

You know how to hook people’s interest. I say so because I got hooked right from the beginning. Generally, I don’t like reading about all these diet stuff but by telling me that you are not talking about just diet but lifestyle, I kind of got interested. I felt your authority as read through because I could relate to what you were talking about.

      Hi Cephas,
Thank you for your feedback on my website. I think people are conditioned to think that diet is a short term solution that will give them an immediate result, however as we know to get any benefit from changing your diet, it needs to become your lifestyle – long term to truly see the health benefits. I so pleased that you found interest in the information and were able to relate. I hope to see you here again.
